I found pop art very interesting and close to practical life.

So what is Pop Art ?
  • Pop Art started in London in the mid-1950's. They called it Propaganda Art instead of Pop Art. This style of art came to the United States in the mid-1960s. Pop Art in the United States was an expression of the optimistic spirit of the 1960's.
  • Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was a key figure in Pop Art, an art movement that emerged in America and elsewhere in the 1950s to become prominent over the next two decades.
  • A form of art that depicts objects or scenes from everyday life and employs techniques of commercial art and popular illustration.
  • Pop art presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular culture such as advertising, news, etc
